Description

So this is a continuation of my series of drawings in the style of Magic Knight Rayearth. However, this one's a little different because of the style of Alex's nose and his lack of armor... I just don't think I could bare to draw armor on him after drawing all the details on his jean jacket >o< So now I have to decide if someone else won't have armor on, too, otherwise he might stand out in the set too much; either that or do a version where I draw his armor over this in photoshop <_< *sigh*... I totally should've just drawn armor on him...

Anyway, I actually did something very interesting here to achieve a rough texture on his jacket when compared to how smooth marker comes out. I've had a Light Cerulean Blue marker that's been running out for a long time, and ink still would come out when you'd use it but it would come out patchy and rough. So I bought a new one, used that as the first layer, and then colored over it with the nearly dead one. It worked perfectly!

Basic Process: Pencil sketch, inked in prismacolor fine line markers, colored with Copics (and Prismacolor for the jacket), put through photoshop for the background and cleanup.
